FAQ

Which style of harmonium are you teaching at the course?

We are mainly focusing on Indian classical notes (SA Re Ga Ma etc) with less emphasis on chords. As this is a course for beginners, the classes are easy to follow with the guidance of our experienced teachers who adjust to the level of expertise of the students.

How many harmoniums are available for group use? If I have my own, could/should I bring it?

The Kirtan Course provides each student with a harmonium for individual learning and practice. If a student wishes to bring their own harmonium, they are most encouraged to do so as it always easier practicing with one’s own instrument.

Are there free days during the course?

Yes - free days are Saturdays and Sundays. You can use them to rest, enjoy the surroundings, meet up with other students, or extra practice which is highly encouraged! Unless something comes about due to exceptional circumstances only, there will be no classes scheduled on those two days.
